Two more injured in Vic dog attack

Two people have been taken to hospital following Victoria's second savage dog attack this week.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was set upon by three dogs that bit her on the face and body while she was visiting a house in Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula on Thursday.

She was taken to Frankston Hospital in a stable condition with serious cuts to her face, upper body and ankle, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

A man who lives at the house was taken to hospital with minor bite wounds.

The latest attack comes days after a woman had her cheek ripped off my a dog in Frankston North, requiring 150 stitches and plastic surgery.

A Peninsula Health spokeswoman said on Thursday afternoon two people were being prepared for surgery at Frankston Hospital.

The Mornington Peninsula Shire has impounded three dogs from the Hastings property and taken them to its animal shelter.

A spokesman declined to comment further.
