Woman dies after crashing into multiple cars on Monash Freeway

A woman has died after her car crossed several lanes of traffic on a Melbourne freeway before crashing into a number of cars.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was driving on the Monash Freeway in Dandenong North when she crashed at around 7.45am.

She died at the scene and police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

All lanes are now clear inbound.
