Woman dies after being hit by car in Vic

A pedestrian hit by a car in Melbourne's north has died.

The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was crossing a street in Northcote when she was knocked down at 9.30am on Tuesday.

She suffered serious injuries and died in Royal Melbourne Hospital.
