Woman dead after crash with truck in Vic

A 46-year-old woman is dead after her car collided with a grain truck in north-eastern Victoria.

Police said the crash happened in Rutherglen on Thursday evening, and the Wangaratta woman died at the scene.

The truck's driver, a 39-year-old Rutherglen man, was not injured.

Victoria's provisional road toll for the year now stands at 227, 15 more than the same period last year.
