Woman charged over fatal Vic hit-and-run

A woman has been charged over a hit-and-run crash that killed a Melbourne university student.

Nisali Perera, 20, died on Thursday night after the driver of a dark-coloured wagon hit her in Clayton and didn't stop.

Lauren Hindes, 33, will front the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with being an accessory to the crime.

The Clayton woman was arrested on Tuesday, along with a 37-year-old Bayswater man who remains in custody.

Ms Perera had been a student at Monash University.
