Firefighters have gained the upper hand, with a bush and grass fire burning in country Victoria no longer a threat to residents or homes.
Firefighters have stopped the spread of the blaze in Porcupine Ridge, near Daylesford, with the CFA downgrading its warning for the area.
The crews will patrol the 20-hectare fire overnight.
