Warrant for two wanted over Vic shooting

Two men wanted over a Melbourne shooting that left a man fighting for life are believed to be in NSW.

Mark Dixon, 30, and Jack Harvey, 26, are believed to be in the Byron Bay area and Victoria Police have issued warrants for their arrest.

They are wanted over the shooting in the head of a 53-year-old man at Point Cook on February 21.

The Sydney man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two Point Cook men, aged 29 and 30, were arrested on Saturday but were released without charge.

Dixon is described as 180 cm tall, with a medium build, short brown hair, a fair complexion and speaks with an Irish accent.

Harvey is described as having a slim build, short brown hair, a goatee beard and also speaks with an Irish accent.

Police say anyone who sees either of the men should phone triple zero and do not approach them.
