War medals stolen in Melbourne break-in

Burglars have stolen six war medals after breaking into a Melbourne home while the owner was in hospital.

The six medals - an African Star, Pacific Star, Star 39-45, Defence Medal, War Medal 39-45 and Australian Service Medal 29-45 - had been awarded to relatives of the owner.

Anyone with information about the theft from the Cranbourne house between March 3 and 7 are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
