Wait over for thousands of VCE students

The nervous wait is over for thousands of Year 12 students who have begun receiving their Victorian Certificate of Education results.

The VCE marks and, for many, their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, became available on the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority's website at 7am on Monday.

Among the almost 47,000 students who got their results, 35 students have scored a perfect tertiary entrance rank of 99.95.

Education Minister James Merlino has congratulated the state's senior high school students on completing their studies.

"You should be very proud of what you have achieved," he said.

This year more than 18,000 students pre-registered to get their results via SMS, which is a record for the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre.
