Victorian woman dies after truck hit her

A woman has died after being hit by a truck when she stepped onto a road in Victoria's south east.

The 35-year-old woman from the Latrobe Valley died at the scene in Morwell on the Princes Freeway on Tuesday about 6.20am.

The area has been cordoned off as police investigate.
