Victorian motorcyclist dies in crash

A motorcyclist is dead after he tried to overtake a car but crashed.

Police say the motorbike and a sedan collided in Bundoora, in Melbourne's north, on Friday morning.

The driver, a woman, was not injured.

The man's death takes Victoria's road toll to 43, compared with 40 at the same time last year.
