Victorian motorists have been hit with $3.4 million in fines following the installation of three new speed and red light cameras.
Just 27 days after being installed, one camera in St Kilda nabbed more than 8000 drivers, generating around $1.8 million in revenue for the state government.
Statistics released by the Department of Justice ranked the camera as the highest performing in the state, with two others recently installed filling second and third places.
