Two young country Victorian men who raped a woman during a Valentine's weekend bachelor and spinsters ball while "very drunk" have been jailed.

The County Court of Victoria on Tuesday was told that Ryan Keogh, 21, and Patrick McGrath, 20, claimed they didn't hear the woman say no when the latter man joined in.

McGrath, of Kyneton, and Keogh, of Trentham, attended the ball in February 2016 together and proceeded to get "very drunk", Judge David Parsons noted during sentencing.

The victim said she had drunk a "moderate" amount of alcohol before engaging in consensual sex with Keogh.

During the sex, Keogh asked McGrath if he wanted to join in, but the victim said no.

Both men claimed they did not hear the woman, which Judge Parsons accepted as true due to their inebriation.

The pair was found guilty of three counts of rape in a jury trial in May.

Keogh has moderate attention difficulties and a mild autism spectrum disorder, the judge said.

He said he was prone to being teased and excluded, and used alcohol to overcome his social anxieties.

Both men are well-supported by their families, with good prospects of rehabilitation and a "negligible" likelihood of reoffending, Judge Parsons said.

McGrath has been sentenced to a youth justice order of three years, with the youth parole board to determine his release.

Keogh has been jailed for three-and-a-half years and must serve at least one-and-a-half years in prison before being eligible for parole.
