Victoria's family violence package

VICTORIA'S $572 MILLION FAMILY VIOLENCE PACKAGE

INCLUDES

* $152.5 million for 130 new social housing homes and help with private rentals.

* $122 million to protect children, including reforms to the child protection system.

* $103.9 million for specialist crisis support and counselling.

* $61.6 million to expand the Respectful Relationships program into kindergartens and introduce the state's first Gender Equality Strategy.

* $25.7 million to address family violence in Aboriginal communities.

* $23.9 million to reform the justice system so it protects victims and holds perpetrators to account.

DELIVERS

* 65 of the 227 recommendations from the family violence royal commission.
