Vic youth justice centre staffer assaulted

A staff member at a Victorian youth justice centre has been taken to hospital after being assaulted.
The man aged in his 50s was treated for facial lacerations after being assaulted about 8pm on Saturday at Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre, authorities say.
He was transported to Kyneton Hospital in a stable condition. Police have not laid charges.
