Vic worker dies after being hit by car

A man has died in hospital more than a month after a car crashed into machinery he was working on in Melbourne.

The 39-year-old was on an elevated platform of a cherry picker-like machine when the crash occurred at Braeside on August 11, WorkSafe Victoria says.

He died in hospital and investigations into the matter are continuing, the authority said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
