Vic woman caught five times the limit

A badly damaged car alerted police to a Victorian woman driving almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Police allege the 39-year-old Ventnor woman returned a "dangerously" high blood alcohol reading of .246 per cent on Thursday night when she was pulled over by police in Cowes, Phillip Island.

Her licence was immediately suspended and she will face court at a later date.
