Vic toll road details to be public

Victoria wants to make details of a proposed $5.5 billion toll road public before the next COAG meeting.

The Western Distributor business case was due to go to the federal government in October but it has been delayed.

"I would hope that we'll be in a position around the time the premier gets to sit down with the prime minister at COAG, the premiers' conference, to at least have something substantial on the public record," Treasurer Tim Pallas said.

The $5.5 billion toll road proposal would connect Melbourne's CityLink and West Gate freeways.
