Vic toddler found with help of family dog
A toddler who went missing in country Victoria has been found safe and well, thanks to the help of the family dog that was with her.
A search was launched after the two-year-old girl went missing with the dog from her home in Crossover, near Warragul, on Tuesday night, and police confirmed early on Wednesday that she had been found.
"It was actually the dog that helped them find her," a police spokeswoman told AAP.
"The search and rescue guys found the dog, and it had obviously been staying close to her."
She said the girl was only about 500 metres from the family home, but that the wild terrain in the area had made it hard to search.
The girl was fine, but cold, and has been taken to hospital for observation.
