Vic to benefit from bushfire funding

Victorian's living in high-risk bushfire areas will benefit from $850,000 funding for projects helping to mitigate the threat of fire.
Federal Justice Minister Michael Keenan announced the funding on Friday and said it would allow the Victorian government to ensure that communities are disaster prepared and resistant.
The money will fund projects including the construction of fire breaks and fire access around rural townships and cities, fuel management activities, water supply improvements, and an arson prevention program.
