Teen fights off kidnappers in Melbourne

A Victorian teen has fought off kidnappers in Melbourne's east after he was shoved into a car that mounted the curb in front of him.

The 17-year-old boy got off a bus in Vermont South on February 5, when he was approached from behind by a man, police say.

A car - driven by a woman with another man inside - then mounted the curb in front of the boy and the other man shoved him in the back.

The car travelled a short distance to a nearby hotel, before the teen managed to escape - fighting off a man who was holding onto his t-shirt.

He then ran up Springvale Road and reported the incident to police.

Police on Thursday night released CCTV images of two men and a woman.
