Vic takes another step towards Treaty

Aboriginal Victorians can nominate to help shape the state's planned treaty with indigenous people, the government says.

Nominations have opened for the community assembly, which will advise Victoria's Aboriginal Treaty Working Group in the design of the planned state-wide representative body.

The government allocated $28.5 million in the budget for the representative body, further consultation and a self-determination plan.
