Victorian specialist schools will get upgraded classrooms and tools to help students with autism and dyslexia in a $155 million budget package.

It includes $68.5 million to upgrade 20 specialist schools and make mainstream schools more inclusive, and almost $50 million to support an extra 1750 students expected to be eligible for funding in 2017.

"I want to say to every parent of a child with special needs, your kids are not out of sight and out of mind - we want to make sure they have every chance to fulfil their potential," Premier Daniel Andrews said on Monday.
