Vic police track down stolen parrot

A bird-brained burglar who stole a parrot from a Melbourne house has been arrested and the bird's owners have been reunited with their feathered friend.

Police allege Heaven the lorikeet was stolen during a burglary in Sunshine on August 19, and on Tuesday police found the bird at a house in Collingwood.

A 39-year-old Sunshine man was charged with burglary and theft, police said on Thursday.
