Heading to a court appearance is the excuse a Victorian man gave when caught driving at 156km/h on a freeway.
Police allege the Highton man, 25, was clocked speeding on the Princes Freeway between Melbourne and Geelong on Thursday morning.
The P-plater's car has been impounded and he's expected to be charged on summons.

"When questioned as to the reason for his excessive speed, the man said he was on his way to court," police spokesman Alistair Parsons said in a statement.
