A man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter while on trial for the murder of Melbourne teenager Patrick Cronin has been taken into custody.

Andrew William Lee, 34, was on Monday taken into custody after he had his bail revoked by the Victorian Supreme Court, a day before he was due to appear in court for a pre-sentence hearing.

Lee was two days into a murder trial in front of a jury over the April 2016 death of Mr Cronin, 19, before he pleaded guilty to manslaughter on September 8.
