Vic murder accused to face trial

A man accused of murdering his ex-partner in broad daylight on a Melbourne street has been committed to stand trial.
Craig McDermott, 38, is accused of stabbing to death Fiona Warzywoda, 33, on a busy Sunshine street on April 16.
Prosecutors claim he killed the mother of four as she left her solicitor's office, angry that family court proceedings had not gone in his favour earlier that day.

But McDermott on Friday pleaded not guilty to murder at the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
He will face a directions hearing in the Victorian Supreme Court on Monday.
