Vic man pleads guilty over revenge plot

A man who plotted to kill his neighbour in a revenge attack over a noisy dog has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Joseph Drago, 69, was charged with killing Anthony Richard Dockerty after running the 63-year-old over with his car in Melbourne on December 2, 2013, ending a long-running dispute over Mr Dockerty's barking dog.

Prosecutor Andrew Tinney SC has previously told the court Drago, of Balwyn North, told police he would take action over the dispute if they did not, and had written a detailed revenge plot against Mr Dockerty.

But Defence Barrister Constantine Helliotis QC said there was no connection between the plan and what really happened.

Victorian Supreme Court Justice Lex Lasry extended Drago's bail and ordered him to return to court on June 18.
