Victoria man carjacked and forced to drive at knifepoint

A driver from regional Victoria had a knife thrust in his face and was forced to drive a carjacker for an hour to a nearby town.

The 27-year-old victim was waiting at an Shepparton intersection, when a man approached his car and shoved a knife through the driver's open window on July 27.

The offender then jumped in the back of the car and forced him to drive 80km to Yarrawonga.

The driver was then told to stop and the man assaulted him before getting into a waiting car and driving off towards Cobram, police said on Friday.

Police have released a FACE image of the man.
