Vic man fights for life after assault

A man is fighting for his life after being assaulted on the Victorian-NSW border.
The 26-year-old man was attacked at a Wodonga home on Tuesday night and airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
Police arrested and charged a 25-year-old Wodonga man, believed to be known to the victim, at the scene, and he will face the Wodonga Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
