Man stabbed to death in Vic

Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing outside a Melbourne home unit.

A man was found collapsed outside a block of flats in Ascot Vale at 6.10pm on Saturday and declared dead after paramedics were unable to revive him.

The dog squad and Critical Incident Response Team have been deployed.

Police are yet to notify the man's next of kin.
