Vic man falls into path of incoming train

A man has escaped injury after falling into the path of a Melbourne train.

The 44-year-old lost his balance and fell onto the tracks at Highett Railway Station just before 11am on Wednesday, police said.

He scrambled under the platform until the train passed and climbed to safety unhurt.
