Vic man facing murder trial pleads guilty

A Victorian man has admitted murdering another man just as his trial was due to start.

Maxwell John Pain, of Neilborough, pleaded guilty to one count of murder over the death of a 36-year-old man whose body was discovered at a property near Bendigo in June.

Pain, aged in his 50s, will return to the Victorian Supreme Court on January 19 for a pre-sentence hearing.
