Vic man charged with attempted rape

A man has been charged with the attempted rape of a woman in Melbourne's CBD.

The woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at an address in Lonsdale Street about 12.50pm on Monday.

The 34-year-old Melbourne man has also been charged with assault-related offences including intentionally causing serious injury and will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
