Vic man charged with attempted murder

A Victorian man has been charged with attempted murder over the shooting of a man who is in a Melbourne hospital with suspected stomach wounds.

A Wendouree man, 23, is expected to face Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Monday in relation to the shooting on Sunday.

The injured man, 24, went to Ballarat Base Hospital on Sunday before being transferred to a Melbourne hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
