Vic man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after he and a woman turned up a hospital in regional Victoria suffering from stab wounds.

Police say a man and a woman appeared at the Wangaratta Base Hospital on November 21, suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.

Since being released from hospital on Friday, the 38-year old man has been charged with attempted murder, intentionally causing serious injury and assault related charges.

He appeared before the Wangaratta Magistrates Court on Monday and is expected to reappear on April 7 next year.
