A truck driver has been charged after he rear ended a car stopped at a zebra crossing, causing it to plough into a pedestrian who later died.
Police say a car had stopped at the zebra crossing in Wantirna in July 2016, when the man's truck allegedly crashed into it, causing it to fatally plough into a 60-year-old woman who was crossing the street.
The 45-year-old driver was charged with culpable driving and he's been bailed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on January 24.
