A probationary driver, who was old enough to know better, has lost his licence after being caught driving four and a half times the legal alcohol limit in Victoria.
Police say the 39-year-old man pulled into a breath testing site on the Princes Freeway in Port Fairy just before 5pm on Sunday and returned a reading of 0.228.
He lost his licence on the spot and is expected to be charged on summons with a range of traffic offences.
