Extradition of Vic man hits road block

Attempts by commonwealth prosecutors to extradite a Melbourne man to NSW to face drug trafficking charges have hit a stumbling block.

Onyedika Hilary Anaeto, 35, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Thursday regarding an application to extradite him to Sydney where federal police allegedly found 140 kilograms of methamphetamine earlier this year.

However Magistrate Denise Livingstone revealed a problem with the warrant for Anaeto's arrest issued by a NSW court.
