Vic man accused of shooting dead relative

A man has appeared in court after he allegedly shot dead a relative in Melbourne's southeast.
Peter Smith, 69, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with murdering 30-year-old Andrew Smith.
The younger man was fatally shot at a Mulgrave home on Monday night.

A Legal Aid duty lawyer told magistrate Ross Maxted that Smith would be vulnerable in custody due to his age and appearance.
She also said the 69-year-old had undergone surgery for bladder cancer in the past three months.
Smith had been remanded in custody to return to court in April.
