Vic IGA attack accused refused bail

A young man remains behind bars after allegedly attacking and threatening to stab a Melbourne IGA attendant.

Daniel Jasson faces a host of charges for causing injury, making threats to kill, criminal damage, discharging missiles to cause injury, assault and failure to answer bail.

It is alleged that in March this year, an IGA attendant at Seaford thought he saw Jasson leave the store without paying for goods.

On approaching him, it is alleged Jasson pushed the attendant against the store window, causing it to smash, and said "I'm going to come back and stab you".

It is also alleged Jasson hit a man in the head with a turbine housing in November last year.

In October last year, it was also alleged he threatened a man by telling him to watch out for his children and wife, and that he would come to his office and "start stabbing people".

He was refused bail on the grounds he had failed to appear on numerous occasions in the past.

In the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday, he was remanded in custody until July 18.
