Vic ice dealers facing tougher penalties

Ice dealers will face tougher penalties in Victoria, with serious charges to apply for trafficking half the amount of the drug.

While 100 grams of ice currently constitutes a commercial quantity, that will be reduced to 50 grams with similar cuts for other legal thresholds.

"Holding traffickers to account for their actions is critical to stopping the spread of these drugs," Police Minister Lisa Neville said on Friday.
