Vic ice accused face court

Two men accused of having guns, a silencer, ammunition, ice and drug-making gear have faced a Melbourne court, with one of them asking to go home once he finishes drug rehab.

Shashin Rahmani, who is on bail, was in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday alongside his co-accused George Spirvoski, who appeared via video link.

Rahmani asked for changes to his bail conditions so he could return home once he finished treatment, with a strict curfew not to go out after 9pm unless it was to a Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

The pair has been charged with trafficking ice on October 30 last year in Wallan, north of Melbourne, being prohibited persons possessing a firearm and silencer, dealing with the proceeds of crime and possessing more than three unregistered firearms.

Rahmani has also been charged with possessing 3.3 grams of ice, possessing equipment to manufacture a drug of dependence, four firearms without a licence and ammunition without a licence.

He is also accused of dishonestly handling goods believed to be stolen, including a trailer, a generator and a prime mover.

The matter was adjourned until May 25 to give prosecutors time to translate telephone transcripts, believed to be in Persian, and complete laboratory analyses.
