Vic hiker serious after waterfall tumble

A woman has head injuries after falling from a waterfall in Victoria's alpine region.

Paramedics and the SES hiked to reach the woman after she fell from a rocky ledge and into water at Eurobin Falls at Mt Buffalo on Thursday afternoon.

The woman was carried out and then airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition with a head injury.
