Vic govt joins Bayley funding court case

The Victorian government will join the fight to stop convicted murderer and serial rapist Adrian Bayley receiving Legal Aid funding for an appeal.
Bayley is taking court action after Victoria Legal Aid refused to fund his Supreme Court appeal bid over rapes he committed before he killed Melbourne woman Jill Meagher.

Attorney-General Martin Pakula on Wednesday said the government supported the decision to deny Bayley funding, and would intervene in the case.
