Vic extends fracking moratorium
AAP
Victoria has again extended a moratorium on fracking in the state as the Labor government continues to consider the recommendation of a parliamentary inquiry into coal seam gas.
New Resources Minister Wade Noonan on Tuesday said he needed more time to meet with industry, farmers and other community representatives.
Until then a ban on new exploration licences, approvals for fracking, exploratory drilling and the use of BTEX chemicals will remain in place.

Mr Noonan says the government will now respond to the inquiry's recommendations in August.
