* Voters - more than 3.8 million, up about 224,000 from 2010

* Early votes cast - more than half a million

* Candidates - record 896, up 185 from 2010

* Endorsed candidates of registered parties - 789

* Independent candidates - 107, up 20 from 2010

* Registered political parties - record 21, up 11 from 2010

* Voting centres - almost 1800

* Ballot papers printed - 12.7 million.
