Vic driver dies after crashing into tree

A man has died after crashing his car into a tree in western Melbourne.

Police say the driver was the only person inside the vehicle at the time it crashed into a tree in Lalor around 12.20pm on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a teenager died in hospital on Sunday after a motorcycle crash in Avondale Heights last week.
