Vic drive nabbed 100km/h over speed limit

A driver has had his car impounded after being clocked doing 100km/h over the speed limit in Melbourne.

Police say the Doncaster man, 34, was doing 165km/h in a 60 zone when he was stopped in Preston at 11.30pm on Wednesday.

He has been charged with conduct endangering life and drug possession, his Toyota 86 coupe has been impounded and he is due to appear in Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
