Vic cops nab driver - and his lift home

A woman who tried to come to the rescue of a disqualified driver in Melbourne has failed miserably by getting picked up by the same police officers for driving while suspended.
A Narre Warren South man, 22, was nabbed for having a disqualified licence about 1.40am on Tuesday and called on a 26-year-old female friend to come pick him up, police say.
But officers quickly realised her licence was also suspended so a third person - a 63-year-old Narre Warren South man - was called to pick up the offending duo.
